A leader in mental health with specializations in psychodynamic psychotherapy, interventional psychiatry, integrative wellness, and organizational consulting, Ben Hunter is a board-certified psychiatrist and Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association focused on combining expert diagnostic assessment and psychotherapy skills with the most cutting-edge, evidence-based treatments to achieve superior results with his clients.
Dr. Hunter’s private clients have included physicians, CEOs, professional athletes, attorneys, artists, and other discerning individuals who demand an uncompromising approach to mental healthcare, wellness, and performance enhancement. Prior to founding Hunter Clinics, Dr. Hunter served as Medical Director, Chief Medical Officer, and Co-Chair of the Professional Advisory Board at Skyland Trail, an award-winning residential psychiatric program in Atlanta.
Dr. Hunter is Immediate Past President, Treasurer, and a member of the Ethics and CME Committees for the Georgia Psychiatric Physicians Association. He is a featured speaker at medical and professional education conferences, corporate and community health events, faith organizations, schools, and podcasts, among other venues. Dr. Hunter has consulted for numerous organizations regarding TMS program development. He serves as a corporate mental health advisor to Fortune 500 companies in various industries.
Before pursuing a career in medicine, Dr. Hunter was an All-American baseball player at Wake Forest University and was selected by the Cincinnati Reds in the 2008 Major League Baseball draft. Dr. Hunter advocates tirelessly for exercise and nutrition as essential components of mental and physical wellness.
Dr. Hunter is a paid industry consultant and professional speaker in the fields of depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, personality disorders, interventional psychiatry, and novel therapeutics. As a personal commitment to improving psychiatric care in the United States and developing future leaders in psychiatry, Dr. Hunter dedicates a minimum of 10% of his professional time to non-compensated educational and leadership efforts.
