The Hunter Clinics website is an interventional psychiatry provider site. By using the Hunter Clinics website, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

Collection of Your Personal Information

To better serve you with psychiatric and wellness services, Hunter Clinics may collect personally identifiable information, including but not limited to:

  • First and Last Name

  • Email Address

  • Phone Number

  • Billing and Payment Information (for service transactions)

We collect this information when you voluntarily provide it, such as when scheduling an appointment, filling out a contact form, or communicating with us via email. Additional non-personal information may be collected automatically, such as browser type, IP address, domain name, and site usage statistics.

If you purchase Hunter Clinics’ products and services, we collect billing and credit card information. This information is used to complete the purchase transaction.

We do not collect any personal information about you unless you voluntarily provide it to us. However, you may be required to provide certain personal information to us when you elect to use certain products or services. These may include: (a) registering for an account; (b) entering a sweepstakes or contest sponsored by us or one of our partners; (c) signing up for special offers from selected third parties; (d) sending us an email message; (e) submitting your credit card or other payment information when ordering and purchasing products and services. We will use your information for, but not limited to, communicating with you in relation to services and/or products you have requested from us.

Newsletter Sign-Up and Marketing Communications

When you sign up for our email newsletter, we collect the information you provide, such as your name and email address. We use this information solely to send you newsletter content, practice updates, and mental health education resources you've requested. We do not use newsletter sign-up to collect or store any health or treatment information, and we ask that you not include any personal health information in any open text fields on our sign-up form.

We do not sell or rent your email address to third parties. We may share your information with service providers who help us operate our email newsletter (such as our secure email marketing platform), but only for that purpose.

You may unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link included in every email, or by contacting us directly. Unsubscribing will stop future newsletter emails but does not affect any other communications related to your care, if you are also a patient of Hunter Clinics.

We retain newsletter subscriber information for as long as you remain subscribed, and will delete your information within 30 of your unsubscribe request.

Use of Your Personal Information

Hunter Clinics uses your personal information to:

  • Deliver the psychiatric and wellness services you request

  • Process billing and insurance claims

  • Communicate appointment updates or administrative details

  • Inform you of additional services or updates related to your care

Hunter Clinics may also use your contact information, provided you have not opted out, to inform you of other products or services available from Hunter Clinics and its affiliates. As described in our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, we will not use or share your protected health information for marketing purposes without your authorization.

Sharing Information with Third Parties

Hunter Clinics does not sell, rent, or lease your personal information to third parties. We may share your data with trusted partners and service providers who assist with:

SMS consent and associated phone numbers are never shared for marketing purposes.

  • Prevent or respond to unlawful activity or fraud

  • Direct any service providers to delete your personal information from their records.

Please note that we may not be able to comply with requests to delete your personal information if it is necessary to:

  • Comply with HIPAA, state medical record retention laws, or other legal recordkeeping obligations applicable to protected health information;

  • Complete the transaction for which the personal information was collected, fulfill the terms of a written warranty or product recall conducted in accordance with federal law, provide a good or service requested by you, or reasonably anticipated within the context of our ongoing business relationship with you, or otherwise perform a contract between you and us;

  • Detect security incidents, protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity; or prosecute those responsible for that activity;

  • Debug to identify and repair errors that impair existing intended functionality;

  • Exercise free speech, ensure the right of another consumer to exercise his or her right of free speech, or exercise another right provided for by law;

  • Comply with the California Electronic Communications Privacy Act;

  • Engage in public or peer-reviewed scientific, historical, or statistical research in the public interest that adheres to all other applicable ethics and privacy laws;

  • Enable solely internal uses that are reasonably aligned with your expectations based on your relationship with us;

This deletion right does not apply to protected health information (PHI), including medical and clinical records, which we are required to retain and maintain under HIPAA and applicable state law. With respect to your PHI, you have the right to request an amendment or correction, as described in our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, rather than deletion.

Children Under Thirteen

Hunter Clinics does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen. If you are under the age of thirteen, you must ask your parent or guardian for permission to use this website.

Electronic Communications and Security

Hunter Clinics may send emails to communicate appointment reminders, administrative information, or general updates. Please note that email is not a secure form of communication, and there is some risk that messages may be intercepted or read by unintended third parties. Sensitive information should be shared through secure platforms when possible.
